Local Leaders- Missoula
Local Leaders- Missoula
Wednesday, March 4, 2026 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) (MST)
Description
The Construction Leadership Committee (CLC) wants to help cultivate the next generation of leaders in the construction industry. Local Leaders- Missoula will feature a morning session dedicated to classroom training, while the afternoon session will provide participants with the opportunity to hear from local area contractors and leaders.
Morning Session: Led by MCA Training Director Craig Crawford.
"In today's workforce, we are seeing a vast demographic of workers. From differing personalities and ages to unique techniques, mindsets, and goals. What management style works for one person may not work for another, and leaders need to know how to adapt to maximize output AND employee retention. Hiring and training new employees can cost upwards of $15,000. Leaders today face stressors and pressures they did not anticipate just a few short years ago, and this age of employee/employer relations can be challenging."
This training will focus on communication ideas and styles for leaders to utilize in the workplace, as well as tools for leaders to implement for their own stress management and mental well-being. Participants will work through exercises to identify their leadership styles, communication techniques, and personality profiles, helping them excel within today’s workplace.
We will break for lunch around 12. Lunch will be provided!
Afternoon Session: This portion of the training will feature a Q&A panel-style session, providing an opportunity to hear from local business leaders, superintendents, and project managers in the construction industry. You will hear from:
Bryce McLaren: Prospect Construction Inc.
Peter Remington: Kiewit Infrastructure Co.
Joe Soares: Knife River
Alex Basile: Jackson Contractor Group
After the training, members are invited to join other MCA members at the Missoula Spring Mixer for a fun evening of networking and socializing: https://members.mtagc.org/eventcalendar/Details/missoula-spring-mixer-1608650?sourceTypeId=Hub
